A man has been jailed for his role in an alleged £10m scheme in the country's health care sector after it emerged he offered £15m for the sale of Viagra and other erectile dysfunction pills in his shop.

The scheme was uncovered last month by a local pharmacy. After being warned by the MHRA and other regulators it was the biggest ever in the UK and was a "significant blow" to his health.

The man, who was aged 57, was arrested on March 13 at Boots Health and was taken into custody on March 15 and released after 10 days of an arrest warrant.

The MHRA said it was investigating whether the scheme had been "committed or contributing to health problems".

Mr Martin was charged with one count of selling the "impotence drug" in a "purchased drug store", and one count of introducing the drugs in a scheme to sell and market the drug without a prescription.

The MHRA said that in the past two months had revealed more than 500 websites had been shut down.

It was the latest of the MHRA's crackdowns on the market since its start in the UK in June 2015.

Officials said it was "inappropriate" for the MHRA to warn of the dangers.

The MHRA's chief executive, Emma Walmsley, said: "It is a disturbing development for an industry that has been making headlines for over 20 years now, and that could be one of the biggest public health risks of its kind, in part because of the millions of men and their families who rely on public services to care for themselves and their children.

The MHRA is also concerned about the increasing number of young people living with a mental health condition and the impact that the drugs could have on their families.

The agency is continuing to work closely with other MHRA agencies to identify and address these risks.

"We are in discussions with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to provide more information and make this available sooner. We are also working with the Department of Health and Social Care to investigate further."

Last week the MHRA announced it was investigating more than 100 websites that were shut down or had stopped selling the drugs.

The MHRA said it was taking steps to tackle the problem and advise all health authorities to be on the lookout for these problems and to seek further advice from their officers and doctors.

Last month a man from South Africa was jailed for £16m. A court case saw him being jailed for £5.3m.

The MHRA said it had found a "large volume" of websites selling the drugs but had not identified them.

The MHRA said the investigation had been made to identify any other sites offering the drugs and to ensure they were genuine.

Female Viagra is a prescription drug sold under the name Addyi and is manufactured by the pharmaceutical company Valeant Pharmaceuticals. It was approved by the FDA for treatment of hypoactive sexual desire disorder in women who are 50 and over.

The drug was developed by Valeant and its research and development team, whose initial goal was to establish a female Viagra, was launched in October 2021 and became available in May 2024.

Addyi is the first of several medicines developed specifically for female sexual dysfunction to combat the growing problem of an overactive or unwanted desire to have sex.

Valeant’s female Viagra is the first of a new class of prescription drugs designed to treat hypoactive sexual desire disorder, or HSDD.

It is the first of the new class of drugs to treat the condition since it was approved in 1998 in the United States, which is why it has been called the “female Viagra”. It works by blocking the release of a chemical messenger hormone that signals a chemical in the brain to increase the desire for sex.

Valeant, which launched in May 2024, has already received FDA approval for the treatment of HSDD.

For the second time, China’s top-selling drugmaker has introduced a new product — the Chinese version of the drug Viagra — that’s helping more than 40 million men worldwide get erectile dysfunction treatment.

The Viagra, which treats a form of male sexual dysfunction, will be sold in China as well as the United States and the European Union, and will cost $9.50 to $10.50 per pill, according to China’s National Drug Information (NDI) website.

The new Viagra is called the Chinese version of Viagra, and is the result of a collaboration between Pfizer Inc. and the Chinese firm Tingtong Pharmaceutical Co., which also markets the drug. Tingtong Pharmaceutical is the second-largest pharmaceutical company in China, and it has already launched Viagra in the U. S. and Europe.

The Viagra brand is also aimed at men who have not had a chance to speak to doctors. It also will be marketed by the company as a treatment for erectile dysfunction, which is a medical condition that involves the inability to achieve and maintain an erection that can last for up to 36 hours. The drug will cost between $30 and $60 a dose.

The drugmaker also plans to launch a generic version of the pill, which is sold in the U. and Europe, in the United Kingdom. It will be available in the U. and Europe as well, but not yet sold in China.

“This is a big step forward in the treatment of erectile dysfunction and is another step forward for Pfizer,” said Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a Pfizer senior medical affairs officer. “We are excited about the opportunity to bring a new medication to the market that is clinically proven to help men get and keep an erection.”

Tongtong Pharmaceutical’s patent for Viagra was awarded for patent protection in 2013 and has expired. Its U. patent on the drug is scheduled to expire in 2017, but it is still a U. market. The Chinese version of Viagra is expected to be sold in China in late 2018 and early 2019. In the U. K., a Chinese firm called Lendus is expected to launch Viagra soon, in late 2020.

Pfizer has already launched Viagra for the U. in the U. and Europe, as well as Viagra for the European market, and it is expected to offer the drug in the U. K. as well.

The new Viagra comes in the form of a tablet, and is available in packs of 25, 50 and 100 tablets. The company also plans to market the drug in more than 80 countries and territories, including China and the European Union.

“We have made it possible for us to provide the drug to millions of men across the globe who may have not had the chance to speak to doctors,” Gottlieb said. “We have an opportunity to offer our patients a convenient, affordable and accessible treatment option for erectile dysfunction.”

Tongtong Pharmaceutical’s patent for the drug is still in effect, but it has already been challenged in court. The patent for Viagra in China expired in 2011. Pfizer, the U. company, and several other pharmaceutical companies also entered the Chinese market. Pfizer is planning to launch the drug in the U. in the summer of 2018, but the company is not yet sure whether it will launch it in other countries.

The new Viagra is available in a blister pack of 50 or 100 tablets, and is expected to cost between $15 and $40 a dose. It is not expected to be sold in the U. for sale in China.

“We have been working with Tingtong Pharmaceutical and Lendus to launch the Viagra,” Gottlieb said. “We are very excited about this opportunity to launch the drug. The drug is a long-term treatment for erectile dysfunction and will continue to be the focus of our clinical studies.”

Tongtong Pharmaceutical is an affiliate of the Chinese company Lendus, which owns the patent on the drug.
